Chris Hales
Facilitator
After experiencing a sewer backup in his own home, Chris Hales saw firsthand the impact a restoration professional can have on a family during an unexpected crisis. A Power Dry Project Manager arrived at his home at 9 p.m., helped him understand the insurance process, and quickly got a crew to work. That experience ultimately inspired him to leave a career in healthcare IT software sales and join Power Dry, where he has now spent nearly eight years. After five years as a successful Project Manager, he stepped into management with a goal of helping others build rewarding careers while delivering that same level of care to customers. As a leader at Power Dry, Chris has helped strengthen both team performance and profitability. He developed a structured 90-day training program incorporating a custom training manual, mock flood scenarios, and performance-based testing, helping maintain a team-wide closing rate above 80% while increasing the team's close rate from 79.2% to 85.5%. He has also implemented strategic project-scoping practices that have increased average job value. For him, however, the most rewarding part of restoration remains making a meaningful difference in someone's life when they need help most. Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife, Lindsey, their children, Benjamin and Savannah, and their dogs, Chewy and Rae Rae. He is also a self-proclaimed Star Wars nerd with a collection of lightsabers and a love for the movies and shows.
Chris Strovas
Facilitator
Chris Strovas is a sales leader, coach, and restoration professional with nearly 20 years in the home service industry. He has sold it, managed it, built teams around it, and cleaned up the mess when it didn’t work. From in-home sales to leading operations, sales teams, and field professionals across plumbing, HVAC, and restoration, Chris has learned that great sales aren’t built on slick scripts or pressure. They’re built on trust, clarity, confidence, and a process that works when you’re standing in a customer’s living room. Today, Chris leads sales for PureDry Restoration, where he develops salespeople, builds accountability into the process, and coaches teams to turn more opportunities into sold jobs. His message is straightforward: Stop selling the project. Start serving the person. Chris teaches sales professionals how to earn trust, control the conversation, uncover the real need, and confidently ask for the business without sacrificing integrity or the customer experience.
